Senior Shopping Reporter (and robot vacuum expert) Leah Stodart typically recommends the Roomba j6+ over the j7+ as the best value Roomba, because the former goes on sale for $399.99, while the latter typically falls in the $530 to $590 range. Thanks to Prime Day, however, the more expensive j7+ is down to j6+ prices. That means you can get a robot vacuum that has auto emptying and small obstacle avoidance for under $400.
