When Was Kamala Harris’ Ellipse Speech?

Harris delivered a powerful speech on October 29 at the same spot where Trump appeared hours before the January 6 United States Capitol attack took place in 2021.

“America, we know what Donald Trump has in mind. More chaos. More division,” the former prosecutor said while speaking to a crowd of thousands. “And policies that help those at the very top and hurt everyone else. I offer a different path. And I ask for your vote.”

While comparing her rhetoric and policies with Trump’s, Harris concluded her speech by vowing to invite voters of all backgrounds, and parties, “a seat at the table” with her.”

“I pledge to listen to experts, to those who will be impacted by the decisions I make and to people who disagree with me,” she added. “Unlike Donald Trump, I don’t believe people who disagree with me are the enemy. He wants to put them in jail. I’ll give them a seat at my table.”
