Manchester United handed major injury boost as Dan Gore returns to training – Man United News And Transfer News

New Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has been handed a further boost ahead of his first match on Sunday, as Dan Gore has returned to team training.

Dore has endured a very difficult past few months due to consistently occurring injuries.

In the last January transfer window, he joined Port Vale on loan in search of first-team minutes but picked up an injury in his first match for the side. He never featured for The Valiants again as he underwent rehabilitation for the problem.

Gore suffered yet another setback – this time a freak shoulder injury – that caused him to miss the start of the ongoing campaign.

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person revealed that Gore sustained a different issue shortly after his return. U21s boss Travis Binnion said that the midfielder was set to be sidelined for a number of weeks.

The Manchester Evening News have issued an update and indicated that Gore is now back in training.

“Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore is back in training after recovering from a minor injury.”

“Gore has now returned to training and could feature in an academy behind-closed-doors fixture against Middlesbrough, which is set to be played in the North East this week.”

“If everything goes to plan, Gore is expected to play for the Under-21s against West Ham in the Premier League 2 on November 29 – that is the first academy fixture after the international break – and it’s likely that he will spend a month with United before leaving on loan again.injury-free.”

Steven Railston adds that United will indeed entertain loan offers for the 20-year-old. Gore debuted for United’s first team against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup last year.

If he goes out on loan and impresses, he could very well give Amorim something to think about moving forward.

United’s Sunday meeting with Ipswich Town at Portman Road kicks off at 16:30 BST.
