Australia Prime Minister’s XI vs India 2024: Date, Match Time, Squads, Broadcast and Live Streaming details

Fresh off a confidence-boosting victory in the first Test of theBorder-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Perth, India will shift their focus to Canberra for a two-day warm-up game against the Prime Minister’s XI. The match, scheduled for November 30 and December 1, serves as preparation for the much-awaited Pink-ball Test against Australia in Adelaide, beginning December 6.

Rohit Sharma to make a comeback

India captain Rohit Sharma, who missed the opening Test in Perth, is expected to use the warm-up match to regain rhythm ahead of his return to the Test side. The two-day contest will provide valuable game time for Rohit as India gears up for the challenges of a day-night Test under lights.

India’s history with pink-ball Tests

India last played a pink-ball Test at home against Sri Lanka during the 2021/22 season, securing a dominant victory. However, their previous experience with a day-night Test in Australia ended in disappointment during the 2020/21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, when the team collapsed to its lowest-ever Test total of 36 in Adelaide.

With the series off to a strong start in Perth, the Indian team will aim to build on the momentum while adapting to the conditions of a day-night Test. The match against the Prime Minister’s XI also offers an opportunity for the players to fine-tune their skills against quality opposition ahead of the crucial encounter in Adelaide.
