Ireland announces squad for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025

Ireland Cricket have announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, set to take place in Malaysia in January. The tournament will feature 16 teams, and Ireland aims to make a significant impact with a talented group of young cricketers.

Amy Hunter to lead the Irish squad

The Irish squad will be captained by Amy Hunter, who has shown remarkable leadership qualities and skill in previous international outings. Niamh MacNulty and Freya Sargent have been named as the vice-captains, providing additional support to the leadership team.

The selection committee has expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to compete at a high level, highlighting the players’ recent performances in domestic competitions and their potential to shine on the international stage. Glenn Querl, the head coach, emphasized the importance of this tournament for the development of women’s cricket in Ireland.
