Man United set aside €180m to complete signings of Tyler Dibling, Viktor Gyokeres and Gregor Kobel – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have reportedly set aside significant funds to complete the January signings of Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres and Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.

United are undoubtedly eager to strengthen the squad for new head coach Ruben Amorim and the club continues to be linked with multiple players across a number of positions.

The January transfer window – which opens in slightly over a week – represents a chance for the Red Devils to bring in some players, although they may be limited by the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Indeed, it has been suggested that, given United’s dire financial situation, Amorim may be forced to make do with the players currently at his disposal.

Nonetheless, this has done little to silence the rumours linking United with numerous players from both England and abroad.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, United are plotting a triple January swoop for Dibling, Gyokeres and Kobel.

“Manchester United is willing to make a strong investment in the next winter transfer market, with a budget of around 180 million euros to strengthen its squad.”

“The English club has identified three key players who could be fundamental pieces for its future project, and is prepared to negotiate with their respective teams to close these signings.”

On Dibling – a player United are believed to have scouted extensively – Fichajes state that Southampton are asking for €35m to part ways with him. Amorim’s side are willing to pay this sum.

Gyokeres, who has a €75m price tag is considered to be one of the best strikers in Europe. The talisman is well-known to Amorim from their time working together at Sporting.

Finally, Fichajes claim that Dortmund want €70m for Kobel – a goalkeeper who “has been one of the great revelations in the Bundesliga, standing out for his agility and leadership between the posts.”

United are of the opinion that Kobel could be a mainstay in their ranks for several years to come.

Again, it’s important to take this report with a pinch of salt, especially considering United’s financial difficulties, which would make it almost impossible to splash €180m in January.

United return to action on Boxing Day when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium.
