KL Rahul’s lighthearted response to his batting position query
Speaking to the media during a press conference in Adelaide, Rahul said that although he’s been informed, he’s been asked not to share the information today. It will be revealed either on Day 1 or when the captain arrives tomorrow.
“I’ve been told, but I’ve also been told not to share it today. You have to wait for Day 1, or it may be when the captain comes here tomorrow,” Rahul said in the press conference.
The question about Rahul’s batting position arose due to the return of opener Rohit Sharma, who missed the first Test. In Rohit’s absence, Rahul had been promoted to the opening slot and made a significant impact, scoring a vital 77 runs in India’s second innings. Additionally, in the warm-up match against the Prime Minister’s XI, Rahul again opened the batting, while Rohit, a regular opener, batted at number four.
