BCCI announce India’s T20I squad for South Africa tour, includes 3 uncapped players

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming four-match T20I series against South Africa, set to begin on November 8 in Durban. Suryakumar Yadav will captain the team, marking an important leadership role for the dynamic batter.

Injuries lead to notable absences

The squad will miss the services of three prominent players due to injuries. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dube were unavailable for selection, while Riyan Parag is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a chronic right shoulder injury at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. The BCCI confirmed these absences in an official statement, emphasizing their commitment to player health and recovery.

“Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube were unavailable for selection owing to injuries. Riyan Parag was unavailable for selection and is currently at The BCCI Centre of Excellence for long-term resolution of his chronic right shoulder injury,” stated BCCI.
