“No decision has been taken”: Man United have not held discussions about selling Marcus Rashford despite rumours – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United have reportedly not yet made a decision regarding the future of Marcus Rashford, despite ongoing suggestions that he is on his way out of the club.

Earlier today, a report covered by The Peoples Person revealed that United are open to offers for Rashford, amidst concerns over his lifestyle off the pitch.

It was stated that United are worried that football is no longer Rashford’s primary concern and the player is dealing with a number of distractions that are keeping him from nailing down a consistent run of performances and results

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg also relayed that United are indeed prepared to part ways with the Carrington academy graduate as it would mean his hefty wages in excess of £300,000-a-week are no longer on their books.

However, Graeme Bailey has now refuted such claims, indicating that United have not decided whether or not to put Rashford up for sale.

Bailey wrote, “Sources have now informed TBR Football that no decision has been taken on the 27-year-old striker at this moment in time.”

“It is understood Amorim likes Rashford, and the £300,000-a-week forward is keen to impress under the new manager after an underwhelming 2023/24 campaign, in which he scored just eight goals in 43 appearances.”

“TBR Football are aware that nobody at Manchester United has discussed selling the man from Wythenshawe in the January transfer window – while the attacker’s representatives are also yet to signal their client wants out.”

Rashford has been regularly linked to Paris Saint-Germain but according to Bailey, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have not checked up on the United n.o 10 for months now.

It’s understood that United will assess the situation of most of their squad members – including Rashford – at the end of the season.

As it stands, only three stars are almost certainly untouchable – Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

Rashford scored two goals in Ruben Amorim’s first two Premier League games.
